Dr. Maxie U Krueger graduated from University of Leipzig, Germany. During her studies and work with animals, she fell in love with cardiology. After graduation and a short time in private practice, Dr. Maxie moved to Canada where she continued her education at the University of Saskatchewan, completing a small animal medicine and surgery internship. From there she moved on to Bern, Switzerland where she pursued further specialty training during a cardiology specialty internship. Dr. Maxie successfully completed a residency in comparative cardiology at the University of Minnesota where she became a board-certified cardiologist. Dr. Maxie was also an Assistant Teaching Professor of Cardiology at the MU Veterinary Health Center at the University of Missouri.
After moving to Hong Kong and being a part of the VSH Specialist Team for over 6 years, Dr. Maxie moved back to Canada end of 2022. After a year away from Hong Kong, she has returned back to the VSH team and will join the VSH Cardiology Team. Dr. Maxie’s professional interests include congenital heart diseases, arrhythmias, as well as pathophysiology and management of congestive heart failure.
