Dr. Hiroki Sano

Dr. Hiroki Sano obtained a veterinary degree from Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University in Japan. He completed a rotating internship and surgery fellowship at the same institution, driven by his passion for veterinary medicine. Seeking to expand his expertise, he undertook a veterinary anesthesia residency at Cornell University in the United States.

Afterward, Dr. Sano joined the University of Pennsylvania as a lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesiology and achieved recognition as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. He pursued a PhD at Massey University in New Zealand, further enhancing his expertise in Veterinary Anaesthesia while also serving as a senior lecturer at the institution. With a desire for global experience, Dr. Hiroki Sano worked in Hong Kong prior to returning to New Zealand to resume his role as a senior lecturer at Massey University. He became the first Veterinary Anesthesiologist recognized by the Asian College of Veterinary Surgeons and is also a recognized specialist in Hong Kong and New Zealand.

Recently, Dr. Hiroki Sano returned to Hong Kong and joined VSH to establish our Anaesthesia Service. With extensive experience and expertise, he provides specialized care to animals requiring Anaesthesia and Analgesia, particularly in cardiovascular management. We are thrilled that Dr. Hiroki will be providing support for both VSH Hong Kong and VSH Kowloon.
