During that time, he gained important experience and developed his passion for small animal surgery.

In 2016, Dr. Carlos completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Oregon (USA), followed by a small animal surgery internship at the University of Dublin (Ireland) in 2017. Dr. Carlos has stayed at the Royal Veterinary College as staff specialist surgeon and lecturer from the end of his residency to date, and he has now decided to move to Hong Kong and join the VSH team. He is passionate about all aspects of small animal surgery including both soft tissues surgery and orthopaedics. He has special interest for emergency surgery, fracture repair and surgical oncology.

Dr. Carlos loves travelling and getting to know other cultures.
