Dr. Troy obtained his veterinary degree from James Cook University, Australia. He completed his internship and residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine between 2018-2022 between two specialist referral hospitals in Perth, Australia. During this time, he earned multiple post-graduate qualifications, including a Diploma of Tertiary Education, Master of Veterinary Clinical Studies and a Research Masters in Veterinary Internal Medicine for his thesis on hyperlipidaemia in Australian Miniature Schnauzers. In 2024, Dr. Troy passed the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine examinations and was awarded the European Diplomate, becoming a EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Internal Medicine.

Dr. Troy is passionate about teaching having been a part of undergraduate student and internal medicine resident training. He has lectured and presented at both local and international conferences and published in multiple international scientific journals. 

Dr. Troy is interested in all aspects of veterinary internal medicine however he has a particular passion for endocrine, renal, neoplasia (cancer), fungal disease and autoimmune disorders. He prides himself on looking at patient care from a holistic approach. In his spare time, Dr. Troy likes anything to do with the outdoors and is an internationally recognised Group Fitness Instructor.
