Dr. Daniel graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2009. Afterwards, he performed a post-graduate course in veterinary ophthalmology at the same university (2010), a one year rotating small animal internship at the private referral Ars Veterinarian in Barcelona (2010-2011) and a Master of Science in clinical research (2012-2013). Then, he worked in general practice and as scientific assistant at the UAB. He obtained a PhD degree about cornea and sclera cryopreservation in July 2015. His European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology residency was at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona from September 2015 to August 2018, and he achieved Diplomate status in 2019. Dr. Daniel was the head of unit of the ophthalmology service at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the UCV (Valencia, Spain) (2018-2022). Prior to moving to Hong Kong, he was a part-time senior clinician at Optivet referrals in Havant and at the University of Glasgow (UK) (2022-2024) and consultant at Vet-CT.
Dr. Daniel enjoys expending time outside with his Miniature Schnauzer dog called Guix.
